David Bowie: Das steckt alles im neuen Box-Set „Who Can I Be Now?“

Wochen vor seinem Tod hatte David Bowie sich noch um allerhand Veröffentlichungen gekümmert, deren Erscheinen er nun leider nicht mehr miterleben kann. Dazu gehört auch die Fortsetzung einer großen Retrospektive, die im vergangenen Jahr „Five Years: 1969-1973“ eingesetzt hatte und nun durch „Who Can I Be Now? (1974 – 1976)“ ergänzt wird. In dem neuen Boxset wird die bisher noch unveröffentlichte Platte „The Gouster“ enthalten sein (die allerdings zu großen Teilen Songmaterial enthält, das schon bekannt war oder auf späteren LPs verwertet wurde).

Nachdem bisher noch wenig über den Inhalt des Sets bekannt wurde, gibt es nun weitere Details. So werden sich darin laut „Consequence Of Sound“ insgesamt 12CDs/13 LPs befinden, darunter die remasterten Fassungen der Alben „Diamond Dogs“, „Young Americans“, „Station to Station“, „David Live“, „Live Nassau Coliseum ’76“ und „Re:Call 2“ (eine Sammlung von Singles, B-Sides).

„Who Can I Be Now?“ erscheint am 23. September und wird ergänzt von einem Fotobuch, das neben seltenen und bisher unbekannten Bildern auch neue Liner Notes von Bowies langjährigem Produzenten Tony Visconti enthält.
