Bob Dylan: Neues Doppelalbum „Rough And Rowdy Ways“ am 19. Juni, neuer Song „False Prophet“ bereits online

Bob Dylan sorgt in Zeiten der Corona-Krise für eine weitere Sensation. Nachdem der Musiker in den letzten Monaten bereits völlig überraschend sein Epos „Murder Most Foul“ sowie das Stück „I Contain Multitudes“ veröffentlicht hatte, legt der 78-Jährige nun nach. Wie er über seine sozialen Netzwerke verkündete, erscheint mit „Rough And Rowdy Ways“ am 19. Juni 2020 Dylans neues Studioalbum – ein Doppelalbum. Es handelt sich dabei um seinen ersten Longplayer mit eigenen Songs seit dem 2012 erschienenen „Tempest“.

Am Tag zuvor veröffentlichte Dylan zunächst das wahrscheinliche Cover der Single „False Prophet“ – ohne genauer auf das Bild einzugehen. Zu sehen ist darauf ein Skelett mit Frack, Zylinder sowie Spritze und Geschenk in der Hand. Darüber sieht man den Schatten einer hängenden Person. Auf dem gespenstischen Bild ist der Schriftzug „False Prophet“ zu lesen. In der Caption war nur kryptisch „What are you lookin‘ at – there’s nothing to see“ zu lesen. Wenige Stunden später legte Dylan nun nach –und veröffentlichte dasselbe Bild mit dem Zusatz „From the forthcoming album by Bob Dylan ‚Rough And Rowdy Ways“.
