Emmys 2015: alle Gewinner – Jon Hamm, Game Of Thrones, Orange is The New Black
Zwölf Preise für "Game Of Thrones" sowie ein Novum: Erstmals gewinnt eine dunkelhäutige Frau die Auszeichnung der "besten Hauptdarstellerin in einer Dramaserie"
„Game Of Thrones“ ist der große Gewinner bei den diesjährigen „Emmys“, dem wichtigsten Fernsehpreis der Welt. Zwölf Auszeichnungen heimste die fünfte Staffel Fantasy-Serie ein, darunter in den vier Hauptkategorien „Beste Dramaserie“, „bester Nebendarsteller“, „bestes Drehbuch“ und „beste Regie“.
Jon Hamm erhielt endlich den Award als „bester Hauptdarsteller in einer Dramaserie“ für seine Rolle als Don Draper in „Mad Men“. Es war die letzte Season der AMC-Serie (davon der zweite Serienabschnitt) und damit auch die letzte Gelegenheit für ihn darin ausgezeichnet zu werden. Siebenmal wurde er als Don Draper zuvor nominiert, siebenmal ging er zuvor leer aus. Hamm setzte sich damit u.a. gegen Kevin Spacey („House Of Cards“) durch.
Erstmals in der Geschichte der Emmys, es war die 67. Verleihungm erhielt eine dunkelhäutige Schauspielerin den begehrten Preis der „besten Hauptdarstellerin in einer Dramaserie“: Viola Davis bekam die Auszeichnung für ihre Rolle der Starfverteidigerin Annalise Keating in „How To Get Away With Murder“. Mit Bezug auf die Ungleichbehandlung von Weißen und Schwarzen in der Fernsehindustrie sagte sie bei ihrer Dankresrede: „Das einzige, was farbige Frauen von allen anderen trennt, sind Gelegenheiten. Man kann keinen Emmy für Rollen gewinnen, die es einfach nicht gibt.“
Der Pay-TV-Sender HBO darf sich als Gewinner des Abends fühlen. Zu den zwölf Preisen für „Game of Thrones“ gesellen sich „Olive Kitteridge“ (acht) und „Veep“ (fünf).
